Feeling Golden?

Me too. Fun parties, cosy pubs and bottomless brunches await us as we re-emerge from hiding and head into the new season feeling ready to live life to the full again. Feeling and looking fabulous is non negotiable.
So to get ready for all events that may be coming your way over the coming weeks (including heading back to the office with those spontaneous after work drinks) how will you go for gold?
Gold is the perfect trans-seasonal colour. With varying tones of champagne, rose, yellow gold and metallics - it suits most skin tones. Plus it is so easy to dress up or down. Think shimmering pleat skirts and chunky knits for the day, luxe jackets and sparkling dresses for luxury evening wear - after all party season is coming.....
Gold always feels luxurious. It adds a pop of playfulness yet remains versatile enough to layer with black, nudes and also works with most other colours. Gold is no longer seen as just 'party wear'. It adds a sophisticated edge to your everyday style.
Key looks for AW 21/22 show this colour re-emerge for yet another season. Accessories such as pendants, clutch bags and shoes are all worthy of this metallic tone.
So here are some suggestions and brands enabling you to go for gold and step out as the golden goddess you know you are....
Shoes - think gold flats, sandals and mules. These styles can be worn with jeans, workwear and the season's must have party dresses. Crackled leather, snakeskin and metallics are all easy to wear materials for shoes that will see you through many seasons to come (Look out for the Esmerelda Sandal in Gold for Laura See London AW collection)
Clothes - wear a shimmering dress with shoe boots for easy day wear and transition into evening with a classic pump or sandal.
Mix multiple golds and team with black or cream to make each tone pop.
Add a splash of colour -  use gold as the neutral - try with lavender, burgundy and teal.
Bags - Metallic and beaded clutch bags, gold chain handles, soft oversized totes in crackled leather and over the shoulder day bags. In every shade of caramel, sand, champagne and bronze.
Jewellery - layer pendants, chunky chokers, multiple rings and hammered gold earrings. This can work for casual day wear or to dress up an everyday dress into the evening. Take a look at my previous blog post - Are you Autumn Winter ready.
Belts - A must have accessory for adding a new twist to an outfit. Pull a jumper dress in with a chunky studded belt or double up and add two belts for added impact. Larger belts also work well on delicate dresses - pair with heels for easy evening styling.
Always invest in some key golden pieces that you can wear over again that will look different with each outfit.
I would love to see how you use gold in your styling - take a picture in your best gold shoes / outfits / accessories and tag Laura See London on instagram!
